Time Flies

Today is the 10th anniversary of the debut of Firefly; our first exposure to a shiny new ‘verse.  Despite episodes being shown out of order with air dates and times as changeable as the wind, the show was beloved by many. Firefly’s active fan-base, affectionately known as Browncoats, successfully campaigned for a big damn movie (post cancellation – whaaa!) and have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity over the years.

How will you celebrate the anniversary?

Screening 35mm Print!

Thanks to the wonderful folks at Metro Cinema Society, we will be screening Serenity in it’s original 35mm glory! Universal has stated this is the last 35mm print available in Canada so it may be your last opportunity to attend a 35mm screening of Serenity. Make it count.
Come for Serenity, Stay for Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope
The Metro Cinema Society will be screening Comic Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope following our CSTS event.  This documentary features Holly Conrad, a guest at the 2011 Pure Speculation Festival, and is sure to be a lot of fun! CSTS attendees will have the option to stay to watch the Comic Con documentary at a reduced ticket price of $6. These discount tickets can be purchased at the ticket window on the day of the event. You can purchase advance tickets to CSTS online and at Happy Harbor Comics ( 10729-104th Ave, Edmonton).
