Join us from September 20-22nd at Edmonton Expo for a  weekend of fandom and fun. You can find us at booth #2504, across from the food court and not too far away from the ticketing hall and panel rooms.  Hop inside the doors and look to your right. You should be able to see Serenity once you walk through the doors..

You bring your wallets and we’ll bring a gorgeous Lego Serenity designed and built by Don Verrier, a new game to play, and lots of shiny goodies to spend your credits on.

As in previous years, we’ll accept payment in cashy monies, credit and debit and all proceeds from funds raised at the booth this year will be donated to Edmonton’s Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS.org) and the Women’s Emergency Accommodation Centre (e4c Alberta).

Lego Serenity. Designed and built by Don Verrier

Lego Serenity. Designed and built by Don Verrier. Serenity has been signed by Nathan Fillion and Mark Sheppard. Once she has collected a few more cast signatures, we’ll auction her off for charity.

It’s over. Whaaaa!

Our screening was amazing this year. 156 excited Browncoats and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog fans were in attendance. Four had never seen Serenity before!

We’re still waiting on our final tally but know it will be great thanks to a last minute shot out and auction item donation from the Captain himself on Friday.

We do anticipate it will be lower than last year since we had a venue switch and also added the extra costs of having the 35mm print couriered to and from Toronto. Was worth every penny to see that print on the big screen again!

Will post final numbers as soon as we have them. In the meantime, thanks to everyone who supported the event, came out on the day, bid on auction items, and shared laughter and tears with us. 2012 was a wonderful year and we’re looking forward to 2013!

Pre-CSTS Shindig – Marian Call in Concert

Marian Call – In concert – In conjunction with Happy Harbor Comics (10729 – 104 Avenue, Edmonton) we will be hosting a Marian Call concert on Monday, June 18, 2012 at 7:30 pm.

Alaskan singer-songwriter Marian Call is returning to Alberta. Her music has been described by fans as “funky acoustic joy jazz” — she plays eclectic, humorous and heartfelt songs that appeal to crowds of all ages and demographics. Her signature Underwood typewriter, rain stick, and kazoo can be heard in most of her local (and national) performances.

Marian is not being paid directly for her performance; we’re suggesting a donation of $10-$15 per person to show your appreciation of her talents.

Screening 35mm Print!

Thanks to the wonderful folks at Metro Cinema Society, we will be screening Serenity in it’s original 35mm glory! Universal has stated this is the last 35mm print available in Canada so it may be your last opportunity to attend a 35mm screening of Serenity. Make it count.
